Our History
SQP Construction, Inc is a family business founded on the principles of Safety, Quality, and Production, and a drive for thinking “outside the box”. Having extensive rough carpentry knowledge and experience for over 35 years and safely completing more than 14,000 units of design-build military housing across the United States, changes in the construction landscape led to SQP’s vision from horizontal to vertical construction.
With advanced materials and technologies, we accomplish our goal of shaving time off project schedules, value engineer framing systems, and building lasting relationships with owners/GCs/ and our sub-trade partners.
We specialize in Precision Built, reducing on-site labor, reducing the total project schedule, providing ease of construction, and mitigating risk. We have successfully executed this approach on commercial and residential projects including retail, office, assisted living, apartments, military family housing, and hotels. SQP has used all the latest products including Mass Timber, CLT and MPP, TJI Cassettes, Smart Component Shear Walls, Prefab Wall Panels, Mitek CFS Panels, Mitek Hardy Frames, Prefabricated stair systems, Mitek Posi-strut floor trusses and prefab fly-in-place roof trusses.
Our experienced design, supervision, and field teams have embraced advancing products and applied the “lessons learned” from each of our ever-evolving systems. All this equals a wider view of knowledge and the ability to simplify building methods, provide “ease of construction” for our trade partners, eliminate change orders, and complete projects faster.

We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship as that’s how you succeed in this business and build lasting relationships with owners and GCs. Then comes production AKA speed. As the late, great Mark “The Professor” Flournoy used to preach, “Once you’re safe and your quality is proven, the only thing left to do is fly. No one’s gonna hire you if you take 10 times as long as you should.”
